
Eliza Patrinou was born and grew up in Thessaloniki. Her love for the arts is traced back to her childhood when she loved spending long hours with brushes, canvases, and paint.
From 2002 onwards she decided to involve herself more seriously with photography.
Throught a series of seminars and a lot of personal study she discovered art photography and along with it a new view of the world. She is a founding member of the Visual Poetry photography group and the PhotoMind photography community.
She has study by herself the life and the work of her favorite photographers.
Some of them are Henri Cartier Bresson, Eugene Atget, André Kertész, Josef Sudek, Sally Mann, Ralph Eugene Meatyard and Garry Winogrand.
She moslty photograph with her Olympus E300 but she never leave her old loves (NikonF60, Zenit122s, Penguin Kersaw, Holga, Lubitel and others) to be forgotten.

- 2005: participated in the group photography exhibition for homeless kids "Don't know what to play to kids" organized by a non government organization for support young people called "ARSIS" and by DPGR.
- 2005: global moderator at greek photography community Digital Photography GReece (DPGR)
- 2004: attended seminar on history of photography and dark room techniques at YMCA - Thessaloniki
